Hello! My name is Shortcake! I'm an illustrator based in the East of England of the UK! I'm a non binary lesbian and autistic, and proud of being true to myself!
I began my art journey at the age of ten, which was heavily influenced by the various animes I grew up watching, such as Higurashi and Elfen Lied!My current artstyle blends both modern anime as well as the nostalgic magazine covers and models from the 20th century! I cite J.C. Lyendecker, Ethel Hays and Nell Brinkley as huge inspirations for my current style!
My art can be described as incredibly colourful, using bright, pastel colours! A very notable feature of my characters are the large, glittery eyes that I give themWhen not creating art, I partake in various hobbies, such as discussing fashion history from the 1920s to the 1950s, and collecting Miami Vice memrobilia.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
PAYMENTS
* Payment will be converted to GBP on my end via Paypal.* A half payment is required before starting your commission, to ensure security for both you, the client, and me, the artist. It to ensure there is no suspicious activity on the client's end. Pay the other half when the commission has been completed.
REVISIONS
* I will give periodic updates with every step of the process, as transparency is required to provide the best possible results.* Minor revisions are unlimited, but you will have a maximum total of three major revisions. Minor revisions can include expression changes or a change of colour. Major revisions can include an entire pose change.
DEADLINES AND DELIVERY* On top of commissions, I am a part time carer for my disabled mother and I am also a disabled person. Due to this, it may take longer to finish my work due to these conditions.*Projects (depending on what the client has requested) may take around two weeks to three months, depending on the complexity. These time frames is to prevent severe burn out on my end.* If you have a specific deadline, please ensure that you have it specified to me. Deadlines WILL be adhered to unless there is an unavoidable event within my life. This can include emergencies or deaths in the family.
USAGE IN COMMERCIAL AND MERCHANDISING
* Commercial fees require a single £5 increase while merchandising fees will require a 25% fee on top of the final commission.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
* I retain shared rights to your work.* I will be able to use your commission as promotional content and portfolio work for future commissions.* Please inform me if you consent to works in progress social media posts while I am working on your commission, or if you would rather have me post both WIPs as well as the finished product after it is complete.* You will not, under any circumstances, feed the commissioned artwork through any sort of AI program. This will lead to your immediate blacklisting.
REFUNDS
* If you are unsatisfied with my work, you are entitled to a 50% refund.* If I am unable to complete the final project, or there are unreasonable delays, a 100% refund will be issued to you upon request.
COMMUNICATION* Communication will be in the form of DMs (direct messaging) through your social media of choice. Twitter and Discord are highly recommended as I am most active there.* I will be sure to give you periodic updates of every step of the process, this will include watermarked screenshots and/or videos. The watermark is to prevent suspicious activity.
